Douglas, Cork
Full renovation of a late 19th century terraced house. The house was completely stripped back to the original stone walls and transformed into an efficient, warm and bright family home. The original features were retained and restored where possible. The newly insulated concrete floors allowed for a beautiful polished concrete finish in the spacious, south facing kitchen/diner. The general layout of this period home was respected with the exception of 2.4m high pocket doors from the kitchen to the front north facing living room. This space is now dual aspect and is flooded with natural light. The flexibility of the pocket doors allows for a well connected and social space which can be closed off to create a cosy more intimate space.

Boston, Co. Clare
New build house for a young family. HSDS designed the internal fit out in collaboration with the clients to ensure the kitchen, utility and in particular the family room met the storage needs and functionality for a growing family. The technical specification drawings and 3D visuals has enabled the client to discuss their vision in detail with their contractor. The photo realistic visuals even includes the exact brand paint colours giving reassurance in their design choices to the very last detail.
Belvedere, Cork
Currently submitted to the planning authority, this derelict property had been vacant for several years, but our clients’ imagination could see past the neglect. Together with their design aspirations and our experience, we were delighted to bring this property back to life with our 3D visuals. Once complete this will be transformed into a well-appointed 5-bedroom family home with dedicated external entertaining space with exceptional views over Cork City.
Clonskeagh, Dublin 14
Rear kitchen extension and attic renovation - planning not required. The design brief included crittall glazing, navy and pink colour palette as well as incorporating the client's much loved family dining table passed down to her from her mother.
The Design Concept has been presented and HSDS is developing a blend of the 2 options for final sign off. Dimensioned plans and elevations, detailed kitchen design, bespoke storage and dining banquette and lighting plan along with photo realistic renders will be produced for the final Design Document to ensure construction stage runs smoothly.
